Old Time Potato Dumplings With Sauerkraut - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. grated, raw potatoes
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can sauerkraut
    2 Tbsp. Crisco
Preparation
    Add salt and beaten egg to potatoes and add enough flour to make a thick dough.
    Boil 3 quarts of water and 1 tablespoon of salt.
    Drop teaspoon size dough in boiling water and cook about 8 minutes.
    (If you dip spoon into boiling water, dough should slide off.)
    Drain and pour hot butter over all.
