Onion Cheese Breadsticks - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. active dry yeast
1/3 c. warm water
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes
1 Tbsp. shortening
1 tsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1 egg
1 Tbsp. instant minced onion
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
2 Tbsp. sesame seed
Preparation

Grease baking pan (13 x 9 x 2-inch).
Dissolve yeast in warm water in small mixer bowl.
Add flour, parsley flakes, shortening, sugar, salt, garlic powder and egg.
Beat on medium speed 30 seconds, scraping bowl constantly.
Beat on medium speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally.
Stir in onion and cheese.
Pat dough evenly in pan with floured hands.
Let rise in warm place until almost double, about 20 minutes.
Heat oven to 450\u00b0.
Cut dough into 3 x 1-inch sticks; brush with butter.
Sprinkle with sesame seed; bake until edges are brown, 12 to 15 minutes.
Yields 3 dozen breadsticks.
