Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 c. white Karo syrup
3/4 c. water
1/2 to 1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts of choice
2 egg whites

Preparation

Cook until it starts to boil; cover for 2 minutes.
Uncover and cook until it spins a long thread; let stand until it quits bubbling.
Pour over 2 egg whites stiffly beaten.
Add flavoring and nuts; beat until it will drop from a spoon and stand in peaks.
