Olives - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    lye
    rock salt
    fresh picked olives
Preparation
    Soak olives overnight in fresh water. Drain.
    Mix
    2 ounces lye per 1 gallon water. Soak olives in this solution. Drain everyday for 3 days. Change water twice a day for 5 days. Dissolve 4 ounces rock salt per gallon.
    Let stand 3 days. Drain. Dissolve 6 ounces salt per gallon.
    Let stand 4 days.
    Dissolve 6 ounces salt in water and leave. \"Delicious.\"
