Ingredients

1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
dash of salt
dash of baking powder
3/4 c. finely chopped pecans
powdered sugar for dusting
Preparation

Mix butter and the powdered sugar until smooth.
Add vanilla. Blend together flour, salt and baking powder.
(Note:
Just a dash.)
Add flour mixture to butter mixture; blend well.
Add chopped nuts; blend.
Roll dough into two balls.
Wrap in plastic wrap and chill 1 hour.
Flatten dough out.
Cut into 15 to 16 pieces.
Shape into marble balls.
Place on ungreased pan.
Bake at 375\u00b0 to 400\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
While hot, roll into powdered sugar or dust.
Let cool.
Roll again.
Makes 30 cookies.
