Tea Cake Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
1 egg
1/3 tsp. soda
2/3 tsp. baking powder
4 Tbsp. water
4 to 5 c. sifted flour

Preparation

Mix,
sugar,
shortening,
eggs, soda, baking powder and water.
Make
a
nest in flour.
Put mixture in nest, work with hands until
you
work
enough flour in to roll out.
Then cut. Bake on cookie sheet at 400\u00b0 until brown, about 12 minutes.
