Mushroom Wild Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (4 oz.) pkg. wild rice
    2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. beef bouillon granules
    1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
    1/4 c. butter, melted
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 Tbsp. minced onion
    1 Tbsp. minced parsley
    1/8 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 c. coarsely chopped almonds or pecans
Preparation
    Wash wild rice in 3 changes of hot water.
    Drain.
    Combine rice, 2 cups water and bouillon granules in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil.
    Cover, reduce to low and simmer 30 to 45 minutes or until rice is tender and water is absorbed.
    Saute mushrooms in butter and lemon juice until tender.
    Stir mushrooms, onion, parsley, garlic powder and nuts into rice.
    Yields 4 to 6 servings.
