1 c. oleo
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Cream the oleo, sugar, egg and vanilla.
Add the flour, salt and baking powder.
Divide dough in half and add to 1 section 1 square melted, unsweetened chocolate and 1/4 cup chopped nuts. Line a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan with waxed paper.
Pack dough in layers.
Cover with waxed paper and chill at least overnight.
Cut in thirds lengthwise, then slice 1/4 inch thick.
Bake 1 inch apart at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes on ungreased pan.
