Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine or butter
2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 to 2 c. applesauce
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 to 1 1/2 c. chocolate chips

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Mix margarine and sugar, add and mix remainder of wet ingredients.
Add and mix all dry ingredients except chocolate chips.
Pour batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan, sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
Bake 40 to 45 minutes.
