Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. butter or margarine
    2 3/4 c. unsifted flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Beat shortening, butter, sugar and eggs until fluffy.
    Sift together the flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture.
    Roll into balls approximately 1-inch in diameter.
    Roll the balls in a mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
