Chocolate Devil'S Food Cake(Yields 12 Servings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

5 Tbsp. cocoa
1 egg yolk
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. soft butter
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

In saucepan mix cocoa, egg yolk and 1 cup milk.
Cook over low heat, stirring until smooth and thickened.
Or put cocoa, egg yolk and 1 cup of milk in microwave bowl and whisk.
Cook in microwave 1 minute.
Stop and whisk.
Cook 1 more minute, stop and whisk.
Cook 1 more minute and stop and whisk.
May need 30 more seconds to 1 more minute to make thick.
If so, do 30 seconds at a time.
Set aside until cool.
