Vanilla Pie Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter
    2 c. flour
    1/4 c. chopped pecans
    8 oz. cream cheese, softened
    2 c. confectioners sugar
    2 Tbsp. warm water
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
    3 c. cold milk
    12 oz. frozen whipped topping, thawed
Preparation
    Melt butter in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
    Sprinkle flour over butter evenly.
    Sprinkle with pecans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Cool.
    Beat cream cheese, confectioners sugar and water in mixer bowl until light and fluffy.
    Spread over prepared pastry.
    Combine pudding mix and milk in mixer bowl; beat until thickened.
    Spoon over cream cheese layer.
    Top with whipped topping.
    Garnish with coconut and maraschino cherries.
    Chill in refrigerator until serving time.
    Yield:
    16 servings.
