Pork Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. raisins
1 lb. pork sausage, crumbled and cooked
1 pt. boiling water
4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. soda
2 c. applesauce
5 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. cloves
1 c. black walnuts
Preparation

Mix raisins in boiling water.
Mix rest of dry ingredients. Add applesauce and sausage together with raisins and water, then add dry ingredients alternately after stirring well, until all ingredients are blended well.
Pour into 2 greased and floured tube pans and bake for 1 1/2 hours until straw comes out clean (about 375\u00b0 preheated oven, then lowered to 350\u00b0).
