Keselitsa - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 box Quaker oats (long cooking)
    1 1/2 cakes yeast
    1 qt. lukewarm water
    2 Tbsp. flour
    garlic and salt to taste
Preparation
    Place oats in large bowl and crumble in yeast.
    Add flour and pour in lukewarm water.
    Stir all ingredients well.
    Place bowl in warm place to ferment all day and night.
    The following day, add 3-quarts of lukewarm water gradually and stir well.
    Strain through sieve into a large pot and stir well.
    Cook slowly, stirring constantly.
    Add garlic and salt to taste.
    If soup is thin, add a little more flour.
    When the soup coats the spoon it is ready to serve.
    May be served with boiled or mashed potatoes.
