Chocolate Chip Pecan Mounds - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces or miniature semi-sweet chocolate pieces
2 slightly beaten egg whites
2 c. finely chopped pecans
Preparation

In a large mixer bowl beat butter or margarine until softened. Add brown sugar and beat until fluffy.
Add egg yolk and vanilla and beat well.
Add flour and beat until well mixed.
Stir in chocolate pieces.
Cover and chill about 1 hour or until easy to handle.
Shape into 1-inch balls.
Roll in egg whites, then in nuts.
Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven about 15 minutes or until done.
(Centers will still be soft.) Remove and cool.
Makes about 60.
