Christmas Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1 c. water
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon oil
    red food coloring or green
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients.
    Stir over medium heat until dissolved.
    Boil without stirring until temperature reaches 310\u00b0 or until threads form in cold water.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in cinnamon oil and coloring.
    *Hold head away from mixture.* Pour in lightly greased cookie sheet; cool.
    Break in pieces and coat with powdered sugar.
    Store in airtight container.
