Cider Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef stew meat
    3 Tbsp. hot oil
    3 Tbsp. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
    2 c. apple cider
    1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    quartered potatoes
    carrots
    2 onions, sliced
    1 celery branch, sliced
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, brown the beef stew meat in the hot oil. Combine the flour, salt, pepper and dried thyme crushed into meat. Stir in the apple cider, water and vinegar.
    Cook and stir until mixture comes to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.
    Add the potatoes, carrots, onion and celery.
    Cook until vegetables are tender, about 30 minutes.
    Use a heavy Dutch pan.
