Carrot Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/3 c. water
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
4 medium carrots, grated (at least 1 c.)
1 c. raisins
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. walnuts
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Combine water, sugar, butter, salt, grated carrots, nutmeg, cinnamon, ground cloves and raisins in a saucepan.
Mix well and bring to a boil.
Let boil for 5 minutes. Remove from stove and cool.
Sift together flour and baking soda; add chopped walnuts.
Combine with carrot mixture.
Pour batter into 2 buttered 8-inch cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
