Polo Alla Cacciatore(Chicken) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. chicken pieces
    1/4 c. olive oil
    3/4 c. onions, chopped
    1 green pepper, sliced
    1 clove garlic, minced
    3/4 c. dry red wine
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    1 c. peeled tomatoes, chopped
    1/4 lb. mushrooms, diced
Preparation
    Wash and dry chicken.
    Heat oil in deep skillet, then brown chicken.
    Add onions, green pepper, garlic, salt, pepper and oregano.
    Cook for 10 minutes.
    Mix in tomatoes and wine; cover and cook over low heat for 30 minutes or until chicken is tender. Add mushrooms and cook, covered, for 15 minutes more.
    Serve.
