Cheese Puffs(Yields About 5 Dozen) - cooking recipe

1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 stick butter or margarine
unsliced white bread
2 egg whites, beaten stiff
Preparation

Melt cheeses and margarine together until mixture reaches fondue-like consistency.
Fold in egg whites.
Cool.
Cut bread in 3/4-inch cubes.
Coat each cube with cheese mixture by holding cube with fork and swirling on all sides, except bottom.
Place plain sides down on waxed paper covered sheets and freeze.
Transfer to bags for freezer storage.
When ready to bake, arrange bread cubes still frozen, on baking sheets and bake in a preheated 425\u00b0 oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
