Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

2 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
2 large ripe bananas
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Sift flour, soda and salt together.
Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and bananas.
Beat well.
Mix in flour mixture thoroughly.
Add nuts and vanilla.
Bake in 9 x 5 x 2 1/2 loaf pan at 350\u00b0 for 60 minutes.
