Scalloped Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small green pepper, cut in strips
    1/2 onion, minced
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. paprika
    1/4 tsp. mustard
    dash of cayenne
    1 c. milk
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 c. canned whole kernel corn
    1 c. dried bread, broken in small pieces
    1/2 c. melted butter
Preparation
    Cook green pepper and onion in butter until soft.
    Add flour and seasonings.
    Mix well.
    Gradually add milk, stirring constantly, until thick and smooth.
    Add egg.
    Cook for 2 minutes longer.
    Add corn.
    Mix well.
    Turn into greased baking dish, 6 x 10 x 2-inch.
    Mix bread and melted butter.
    Sprinkle over top of corn mixture.
    Bake in hot oven at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes or until top is browned.
    Serves 5 to 6.
