Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 large green tomatoes
1/2 c. all-purpose flour or cornmeal
1/4 tsp. pepper
bacon drippings or salad oil
Preparation

Cut tomatoes into 1/4-inch slices.
Combine flour, salt and pepper; dredge tomato slices with this mixture.
Place in heavy skillet containing hot bacon drippings.
Fry slowly until brown, turning once.
Yield:
6 to 8 servings.
