Susan'S Butterscotch Crunch Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/4 c. quick cooking oats
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 (12 oz.) jar butterscotch or caramel topping
    1 qt. chocolate ice cream
Preparation
    Combine flour, oats and brown sugar.
    Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Stir in nuts.
    Pat mixture into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Stir while warm to crumble; cool.
    Spread half of the crumbs in a 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
    Drizzle about 1/2 of the topping over crumbs in pan.
    Stir ice cream to soften; spoon carefully into pan. Drizzle with remaining topping; sprinkle on remaining crumbs. Freeze.
    Makes 8 servings.
