Poppy Cock - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. popped corn
    2/3 c. almonds
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/3 c. pecans
    1 c. margarine or butter
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
Preparation
    Mix margarine, sugar and corn syrup in saucepan.
    Bring to a boil on medium heat, stirring constantly.
    Continue boiling, stirring occasionally for 10 to 15 minutes until sauce is a light caramel color and reaches a hard-ball stage (250\u00b0 to 258\u00b0 on a candy thermometer).
    Remove from stove; add vanilla.
