Baked Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean beef, cut in chunks
    2 c. onions, cut in chunks
    2 c. potatoes, cut in chunks
    2 c. carrots, cut in chunks
    2 tsp. salt
    5 Tbsp. tapioca (dry)
    1 tsp. sugar
    3 c. tomato juice
    1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
Preparation
    In covered roaster pan, place ingredients in the order given. Cover.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 5 hours.
    No browning necessary.
    When done, the gravy is thick and brown.
    Serve over rice or noodles. Serves 8 to 10.
