Aunt Yvonne'S Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs
    3/4 c. unsifted flour
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Blend the melted butter or margarine, sugar and vanilla in a mixing bowl.
    Add the eggs; beat well with a spoon.
    Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add this to the egg mixture.
    Spread in a greased 8-inch square pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from the edges of pan.
    Cool; cut into squares. Chopped nuts or chocolate chips can be added before baking.
