Southern Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. milk
1/2 c. corn meal
1 Tbsp. margarine
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
3 eggs, separated
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Preparation

Heat milk nearly to boiling point.
Add corn meal.
Beat egg yolks and add to milk and corn meal.
Add margarine, baking powder, sugar and salt.
Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into rest of ingredients.
Bake in a greased dish at 375\u00b0 for about 40 minutes.
