Baked Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean beef stew meat in 1-inch cubes
    1 c. canned tomatoes, cut up
    6 carrots, cut into strips
    1/2 c. thick sliced celery
    3 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
    1 medium onion, sliced and separated into rings
    3 Tbsp. quick cook tapioca
    1 slice bread, crumbled
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients.
    Place in 3-quart casserole.
    Cover and bake at 325\u00b0 for 3 1/2 hours.
    (Other spices and herbs may be added to taste: basil, thyme, marjoram, bay leaves, etc.)
