Ingredients

1 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 3/4 c. flour
Preparation

Blend butter and sugar.
Add eggs, milk and vanilla.
Mix well. Sift dry ingredients and stir into mixture.
Divide into 3 or 4 parts.
Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate.
When dough is well chilled, roll thin on a lightly floured board.
Cut into desired shapes.
Place on greased and floured cookie sheets.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until slightly browned.
Decorate with icing or sprinkle sugar on cookies before baking.
