Dilled Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. dill weed
    1/2 c. white vinegar
    1/2 c. water
    red onions, sliced thin
Preparation
    Place first 5 ingredients in saucepan.
    Bring to boil.
    Do not boil but a second.
    Pour over sliced onions.
    Cover and marinate in refrigerator at least overnight.
    Stores well in refrigerator.
