Strawberry Cooler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
    2 c. hot water
    1 c. cold water
    1 large bottle ginger ale, chilled
    1 qt. vanilla ice cream
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in hot water.
    Chill for about 1 hour until syrupy.
    Pour 1/2 cup gelatin syrup into each of 6 chilled (16 ounce) glasses.
    Divide half the ginger ale equally among the glasses.
    Stir well.
    Divide ice cream equally into glasses and fill with remaining ginger ale.
    Garnish with whole strawberries, if desired.
