Shoo-Fly Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. Brer Rabbit syrup
    1/2 c. Karo or King syrup
    2 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 tsp. soda
    4 c. flour
    3/4 c. Crisco
    1 lb. light brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix the first 4 ingredients and let stand, then mix.
    Mix the rest of the ingredients until crumbly.
    Set aside 1 cup crumbs. Mix remaining crumbs with liquid mixture.
    Pour in cake pan. Sprinkle the cup of crumbs over cake.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
