Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sifted self-rising flour
1 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. soft Crisco
1 egg yolk
3 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 egg white, beaten until stiff
Preparation

Mix well and form into balls about the size of a quarter.
Dip a smooth bottom glass into a small amount of oil, then into a small amount of sugar.
Press ball thin and brush with egg white. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
