Stuffed Artichokes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 medium artichokes
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. parsley
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 c. bread crumbs
5 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese, grated
1/4 c. cooking oil
1 pt. water
Preparation

Cut stems from artichokes and 1 inch from top of bulb.
Peel away first row of leaves from bottom of choke.
Bang artichoke against sink to loosen leaves.
Spread leaves slightly apart while washing under cold water.
Leave upside-down to drain.
Combine all dry ingredients and fill into the artichokes.
Place stuffed chokes in a pot large enough so all chokes are standing up side by side, one layer only.
Add water (enough to cover chokes halfway). Sprinkle oil on top of chokes; add a little water.
Add pinch of salt to water.
Bring to a boil; lower flame to simmer.
Cover and cook for 45 minutes.
Every 10 minutes, add water so level remains halfway on chokes.
