Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. applesauce
2 1/2 c. flour
5 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 tsp. cloves
1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. raisins
1 c. nuts

Preparation

Mix together the shortening and sugar.
Add 1 egg, applesauce and flour.
Sift together baking powder, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, raisins and nuts.
Put in sack with flour and shake.
Bake 1 1/4 hours at 350\u00b0.
