German Slaw - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium cabbage head
1 large Spanish onion or any mild onion
1 large green pepper
1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. salt
1 c. vinegar
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. dry mustard
3/4 c. Wesson oil
Preparation

Shred cabbage, onion and pepper together.
Sprinkle sugar and salt on top.
Bring vinegar, celery seed, mustard and oil to boil and pour over vegetables.
Cover and refrigerate 6 to 8 hours. Stir, then serve.
This keeps well for several days in the refrigerator.
