Ingredients

1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. margarine, softened
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
72 pecan halves
Preparation

Cream butter, margarine and sugar in bowl until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs.
Add flour and salt; mix well.
Beat in vanilla.
Chill, tightly covered, overnight.
Shape into 1-inch balls.
Top with pecans.
Place 2 inches apart on foil-lined cookie sheet.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until light brown around edges.
Remove foil and cookies from cookie sheet immediately.
Cool on foil.
Store in airtight container.
Yield: 72 servings.
