Old-Fashioned Caramel Applesauce Spice Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (18 1/4 oz.) pkg. spice cake mix
3 eggs
1 1/4 c. applesauce
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1 c. prepared caramel apple dip, heated slightly *
1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 c. cold butter or margarine
1 1/2 sticks margarine
2 c. light brown sugar, packed
1 large can sliced pineapple, drained (save the juice)
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. pineapple juice (from can)
1 jar cherries
3 boxes yellow cake mix
Preparation

Butter sides and bottom of Dutch oven.
Mix all ingredients (except pineapple) in saucepan and cook until slightly thick.
Pour in bottom of Dutch oven evenly.
Place layer of pineapple on top of mixture.
Place cherry in center of each pineapple.
