Ingredients

white of 1 large egg
1/8 tsp. salt
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 c. chocolate chips
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In medium size bowl, with electric mixer at high speed, beat egg white and salt until soft peaks form.
Beat in sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time until stiff and glossy.
Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
Drop mixture by rounded teaspoon onto foil covered cookie sheet.
Place in oven.
Close door.
Turn oven off.
Do not open door.
Leave cookies in oven overnight.
Remove from foil; store in airtight container.
Makes about 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
