Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. prunes, cut fine
    1 c. raisins
    1 3/4 c. applesauce (unsweetened)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour, sifted
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. allspice
    2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Put fruit in bowl with a little flour just to coat fruit. Cream butter and sugar.
    Add beaten egg and vanilla; stir.
    Add fruit and applesauce; stir.
    Sift flour with all spices and baking soda (at least 3 times) and add; stir.
    Grease and flour pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 in 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 Pyrex pan 30 to 40 minutes, or in 11 x 7-inch Pyrex pan for 40 to 45 minutes.
    Stand at least one day before cutting.
