Haluska - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage
    1 large Spanish or yellow onion
    8 oz. uncooked egg noodles
    1/4 lb. butter or margarine
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cook noodles according to package directions and drain.
    Melt butter in deep skillet.
    Slice cabbage into thin strips.
    Cut onion into rings approximately 1/8 inch thick.
    Fry cabbage and onion until cabbage just begins to brown.
    Volume will reduce as it cooks; stir constantly.
    Add noodles, salt and pepper. Continue stirring until noodles are heated.
    Serve immediately.
