South American Beans And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 to 1 lb. pinto beans
    5 cloves garlic, crushed
    2 Tbsp. oil
    salt to taste
    2 c. cooked white rice
Preparation
    In deep pot, cook beans (no salt).
    Reserve remaining liquid from cooked beans.
    In a different deep pot, heat oil and garlic. Add strained cooked beans and salt and saute for 2 minutes.
    Add reserved liquid.
    Bring to boil for 5 minutes, mixing.
    Simmer until slightly thick, about 15 minutes.
    Serve over cooked rice on individual plates.
