Ingredients

3 c. brown sugar
3 c. water
1 c. pitted dates, chopped
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
whipped cream
chopped English walnuts
Preparation

Mix brown sugar and water.
Bring to a rolling boil.
Add dates and boil several minutes more.
Mix cornstarch in small amount of cold water.
Add to boiling mixture.
Cook until thick and clear.
Pour into serving dish.
Cool and top with whipped cream and nuts.
