Old-Fashioned Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1 egg
    2 c. water
    butter or margarine
    about 6 c. flour
Preparation
    In large bowl, combine\tsugar,\tsalt,
    yeast
    and 2 1/4 cups flour.
    In pan, heat
    water
    and
    1/2 cup oleo until very warm (120\u00b0 to 130\u00b0).
    With
    mixer
    at
    low
    speed, beat liquid into dry ingredients.
    Beat\t2
    minutes.
    Beat
    in egg and 3/4 cup flour to make thick\tbatter.
    Stir in 2 1/2 cups flour and knead until smooth (about
    10
    minutes).
    Cover
    and let raise until
    double, about 1
    1/2
    hours.
    Punch
    down.\tShape
    into small balls. Place in
    greased pans.
    Let raise until double. Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 425\u00b0.
