Orange Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
    3/4 c. shortening (part butter is good)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs, separated
    3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. orange juice
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream the shortening and sugar.
    Add beaten egg yolks.
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder together and add alternately with the liquids.
    Fold in beaten egg whites last.
    Pour into 2 greased and floured 9-inch cake pans and bake in 350\u00b0 preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Frost with Orange Frosting.
