Can Apples (For Pie) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cornstarch
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    salt to taste
    2 drops yellow food coloring
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    10 c. water
Preparation
    Mix
    all together and cook until thick.
    Peel and slice 1/2 bushel apples.
    Fill jars
    half
    full and pour some liquid over and finish filling\twith
    apples
    and liquid.
    Leave cool for a short time and cold pack for 20 minutes.
