Spicy Grits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. grits
    1 onion
    other vegetables (optional)
    1 tsp. whole mustard
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2-inch ginger piece
    4 tsp. cooking oil
Preparation
    Pour oil in a pan.
    When heated, put mustard in; cover pan until mustard splutters.
    Decrease heat; fry onions, vegetables and ginger.
    Add 2 to 2 1/2 cups of water and bring it to a boil. Add salt.
    Simultaneously, in a different pan, fry (roast) the grits until golden brown.
    Add the grits, while stirring constantly, to the first pan.
    Cover pan and let simmer on low heat for 5 minutes.
