Pork Chop Skillet Meal - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    5 slices Bermuda onion
    5 rings green pepper
    1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
    1/2 c. water
    5 pork chops, cut 1/2-inch thick
    5 Tbsp. regular raw rice
    1 c. diced celery
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    In skillet over medium heat, melt shortening; brown chops on both sides.
    Top each chop with onion slice and green pepper ring. Add remaining ingredients.
    Cover skillet and turn heat to high until food steams or bubbles.
    Reduce heat to low and cook 30 minutes.
    Makes 4 to 5 servings.
