Casey'S Whole Wheat Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. lukewarm (85~) water
    1/4 c. shortening (margarine or vegetable oil)
    3 1/2 c. stirred whole wheat flour
    4 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Soften dry yeast in 1/4 warm water.
    Mix together yeast, brown sugar, salt and 2 1/2 cups lukewarm water.
    Add shortening and wheat flour; blend well.
    Add all-purpose flour, slowly.
    When all ingredients are mixed, turn onto a floured board or counter and knead until smooth and elastic.
    Dough should be soft.
    Place in a greased bowl and turn dough over, greasing top of dough ball.
